I have heard it said that this life is like a ride with its ups and downs. To make the most of this life we must keep the vision of eterity in our minds and value it in our hearts for sometimes God calms the storm and other times He lets the storm rage and calms the child. The downs makes us strong, and the ups give us time to appreciate our blessings. But at times it does seem like a ride, it is as though we're all strapped in and no one can stop it. When the doctor slaps our behind, he's ripping our ticket and away we go. As we make each passage from youth to adulthood to maturity, sometimes we put your arms up and scream, and at other times we just hang on to that bar in front of us and pray. But the ride is the thing. The most anyone can hope for at the end of this life is that our hair is messed up, we're out of breath, we reminisce and say WOW! WHAT A RIDE!!! The seat beside me is vacant and it is as if the ride master is calling out "SINGLE!". Over the valleys and mountains of this life I have gained an appreciation for many things. A love for sliding down a mountain on a waxed board through winter's beauty or soaring through God's wonderful firmament on a wing made of cloth, both fulfill my occational need for adrenalin. Often will I be found hiking, biking, or even paddling if the currents are running high. Caving brings reverence for what beauty comes from time and pressure and a renewed thankfulness for the warmth a single ray of sunlight can bring upon emerging from total darkness. Flyfishing teaches patience and about God's marvelous creation and miracles in the chain of life that so often go unnoticed. I never tire of watching a new born calf on my farm rise to quivering legs minutes after being born and head in the right direction toward a warm meal, sites such as this brings glory to God. I have a love for reading and can often be found lost in a good book. I believe character is much easier kept then recovered. I believe love should be seen through a telescope not a microscope. My professional life finds me spreading the joys of learning through teaching in area public schools and providing medial care for those in need on the local ski slopes. When it comes to describing myself on here I must admit that I am not a big fan of this type of medium for meeting that special someone for much is lost on this sea of cyberspace. When we hit the enter key, our essence becomes just lines on a page and lacks all the personal touches that make us, us. It's like describing a flower in poems of written word but nothing compares to the touch of a pedal or the attracting aroma it brings. But yet here I am casting my bottle adrift onto this sea with hope of coming ashore on the sands of a caring heart.

To be honest, I'm not really sure whom an ideal partner might be. I am not looking for a perfect match. . . I am not sure there is such a thing at least right off the bat. A beautiful friendship develops over time just like God's other wonderful creations. Sure we would all like to be somewhere and voila' find the love of our lives but it isn't that easy, at least an enduring relationship isn't. A lot of us on here might not like to read that because we hold in our hearts to the thought easily finding a prince charming or rescuing a princess. We all have a desire to take the easier path, that's why the tv remote was invented because it is human nature to find an easier way. Developing a relationship is an investment and I wish to take stock in partner to share this ride.
