Wow I can't believe where the year has gone. I celebrate Christmas and it's only 4 days away! I am a little nervous as we are going to meet his parents tonight for dinner and a gift exchange. We've only been dating a short time (just under two months) and I wasn't sure what to get his parents as I didn't want to go empty handed. I asked my Johnny Deere for suggestions but he had none. I'm not sure if that is just a guy thing or what so I've decided on a photo box - simple and elegant. I'm also a little nervous because I am older than their son and I'm not sure what they think of that.
I don't know how I would feel if my only child was dating an older woman. I know I'd have thoughts running through my head about what kind of things an older woman could trap a young man into. But, I really do care for this guy and he treats me so well. I never expected to fall for this guy the way that I have. I wasn't going into this with my eyes wide open because deep down I thought that I just wanted casual dating but being with him made me realize that deep down I want to be with this guy for a long time. It is the silly things that make me smile when I'm not with him and the way that he makes me feel like such a lady when I am with him.
We are going to be spending Christmas Eve under the tree in a sleeping bag waiting to catch Santa. I know I already got what I want for Christmas by being with him.
