Stay True to Yourself
We all change. We can't avoid it. We can't deny it. Life happens and as you go through life we change but it is the reason for which we change that matters. If we change who we are to others to please them that is when we fall into trouble. Don't get me wrong there are compromises that we all must make in every relationship we have (friends, work, romantic, etc) in life but a change in who we are fundamentally to please someone other then ourselves not only is hurtful to ourselves but can also end up hurting the other person in the end.
Yes, people can make improvements to themselves, but when it comes down to it, people are who they are. Regardless of how many times people try to change and improve upon things, deep down there will always be that part of who you are that you try to change or hide because of others or you think it will make you happier. But does it?
We are so caught up in other people's faults and pointing them out or discussing them with other people, which is how rumors start as I mentioned last week. Instead of focusing on why we like a person or even ourselves we focus on what things we could change about ourselves. How often do you say what you like about yourself to you or to anyone else? It seems easier to focus on what we think are the negative aspects and what we want to change about ourselves from bad habits to bad haircuts. We are a society that is never full satisfied with what we have when we should be focusing on the best parts of who we are. I put forth a challenge to you all to stay true to yourself! Don't change to make someone else happy or to love you more. There is someone out there for all of us after all there are over 6.5 billion and counting people on the planet. You check out the Top 100 photos on the site looking for that perfect match and sometimes you even go through looking for... yourself. You have your photo posted and you have allowed yourself to be voted on by other members but you want to know what you're rated! You can now view your rating and even add and remove yourself from the voting process! It is so easy that even I can do it. Just follow these simple steps:
Log In.
On the My Home page, click on "View My Profile" located under your photo to check out your score!
To opt out of the voting process just unclick the checkmark beside "Allow My Photo To Be Rated". Want back in the game? Just click the checkmark to participate. Although, each time you opt out of the voting process you will lose all your votes and you will need to start from scratch when you get back in the voting process.
Just remember that each time you replace your Main photo that your votes will be reset and you will start the voting process all over.
Note: In order to be considered for the Top 100 listings, you must have a completed profile and have logged in within the last 45 days. Failure to meet this requirement will result in removal from the Top 100 Listings. A minimum of 200 votes is needed in order for your photo to be included in our Top 100 listings.
