Did You Hear the Rumor?

Did You Hear the Rumor?

Did You Hear the Rumor? All it takes is one statement to be said in passing to someone to start the rumor game and than the next thing you know you're talking about it to your friends, coworkers, etc. With that the rumor has circulated. Why is it that we are so fascinated by the lives of others that we feel the need to intrude and make our own presumptions of a situation? Instead of going to the person to find out the truth if it even is any of someone's business we just end up talking more about it. In one moment from the lips of someone else we can hurt someone we may have been friends with for years or maybe we don't even know them at all. The reason that I bring up rumors is due to one of my iMatchup friends, let's call him Bob has had a rumor ruin not only the new relationship he was in but also seems to have pulled his circle of friends from him. I've known Bob for close to 3 years now. He was one of my first iMatchup friends and it breaks my heart to think that other people could have such an influence over his friends rather than just believe him. But it also make me wonder if his friends ever really did know the real him if they don't believe him. Our society in large is so caught up with the lives of other people... how else can you explain the need for that many reality and entertainment shows. It's like we feed on gossip and get caught up in the frenzy that at times we may not even realize that we're doing it. Gossip and rumors are immature and hurtful and can ruin someone's life. I thought that by a certain age that we all just grow out of it once we are grown ups but we haven't. Have you ever heard a rumor about yourself or someone close to you? Did you confront the rumor or just let sleeping dogs lie? Send your thoughts to the LoveVixen@iMatchup.com. Rosie, The Love Vixen

Complete Your Profile!

Complete Your Profile! Not quite getting the responses you expected? As this is your first impression to millions of other members, the best impression you can give, is to have a completed profile. Here are 4 easy tips on making your profile great! Make changes if you aren't getting the right responses. Remember - practice makes perfect. Post Your Photo!!!!!! We can't say it enough. Profiles with photos get 75% more responses then profiles without a photo! Photos get noticed! It may sound silly, but most of us are visual beings. We associate a name with a photo or image of that person. The more you express yourself in your photos, the more likely someone will be drawn to your personality. Change your photos often and make sure they are clear, recent and fun... Send a "real" email. Although flirts like "You've got my attention" or "Lets Chat" are great conversation starters, it's always best to follow up a "Flirt" with a personal email. This shows members you took the time to write them an actual note, unlike many, who only send "Flirts". You will stand out! Write a Profile if you haven't yet already. Not sure how?
