It is starting to look like things aren't going to work out between Johnny Deere and myself. We just want different things at this point in our lives - well I do anyways. I'm not into dating just to date someone - to have someone around. I'm looking for someone to have a meaningful and lasting relationship with. I want to settle down and have a family in a few years and my boyfriend doesn't. Maybe I'm just having the baby blues because all of my friends are settling down and beginning their own families. It's not like I even want a baby right now of my own -I want one more to play with and spend time with and be able to give back to their parents. I know that I'm not ready for a baby right now but I know that one day I will be and for me that is in a few years (not to mention my age clock is tickin' away I'm no spring chicken anymore as my grandmother would say) however my boyfriend doesn't want to start a family for a lot longer - 10 years minimum if at all. I get that for guys it may be easier to have a child in their late 30's to early 40's but for me as a woman I can't do that. For all the commonalities we have there are so many differences there also - I mean if it was a matter of the small things like being a dog or cat person that would be ok. But for life plans to have such a vastly different plan and outlook I don't think it will work. We are meeting tonight to discuss things further of where we want our relationship to go. I am thinking positive because I do love him with all my heart and don't want to let someone go because we can't agree on our future together. Do you want to be a parent?
