I hope everyone enjoyed his or her Valentine's Day this week - I certainly did. Mr. New Years Eve's surprise for me on Monday was very low key and sweet. I met him at his place and walked into a beautifully set out candle light dinner that he made himself. He even bought champagne and glasses for the occasion! I was very pleasantly surprised when dinner was served and it was my favorite food to eat in the entire world - macaroni and cheese. I had mentioned this to him only once before in passing that was my favorite meal and it meant a lot to me that he listened to me and really listened.
Listening to your partner is a key factor in successful relationships. Keeping an open mind and hearing their feelings, wants and needs are essential. However you must also be able to communicate your emotional and physical wants and needs to your partner openly to be successful.
