Getting Dissed'
Why is it that we always want what we can't have? And those that want us we don't want? I met a guy several months ago that I always had a crush on but didn't know that well until recently...we had a lot in common and have similar backgrounds. This week I told him about it after working up some nerve and we talked for a few days over messages and email and even hung out at a group date event this week. The thing is that when I messaged him the next day to see if he'd like to hang out with me sometime his response was, "Sure, I like to hang out with groups of people". What kind of answer is that? How do I respond to that?
I sat there staring at the screen and the message thinking what kind of dis' was that? I mean at least have the decency to say I'm sorry I'm not interested in you that way. Why not just be open about it. Instead sitting thinking "You want to hang out in a large group?" This started to make me think that maybe I'm too aggressive or a little off in person. So, after thinking that over for quite a while I realized that I just want what I can't have. It's not what was said or how it was said...it is the fact that I want what I can't have and we all do that sometime. The key is learning to move past that which I have realized that there will be nothing more to my crush then a friendship. But you never know what will happen; I just know that now I'm not holding my breath for someone that isn't interested in me at all romantically. Who knows maybe he has some even cuter friends!
