New Year. New Day.
New Year's Eve was a blast! My friends and I were having a great time at a local event that I almost missed my date with my iMatchup friend. We met at 11 at the fountain in the hotel lobby and had a great conversation and decided to continue the night together so we brought our groups of friends to one spot and had an amazing time. When midnight approached I was a little shy of what to do... do we kiss? Do we hug? New Year's seems to be the only night where it would be ok to share a kiss with someone an hour into the date.
As the countdown began my date grabbed my hand and whispered in my ear that he would like to kiss me at midnight. It took my by surprise that there really are still gentlemen left in the world when the kiss came it was a small soft kiss. This made me wonder why we waited so long to go on a date!
There is a saying that the person you kiss on New Years Eve will be the person you are with for the year. I hope that rings true for Mr. New Years and me!
