Get the Party Started
Thank you to all of you who submitted their Thanksgiving stories to me and what they are grateful for in their lives. Even in the most unexpected situations you are still thankful for who you are and what you have - from spending time with the family playing Uno to cancer survivors to a rough Thanksgiving with a few fights - just to name a few. Now that Thanksgiving has passed we enter one of the busiest and craziest times of year for so many people the Holiday Party season.
As I fought my way through early bird sales on Friday morning with a few friends I stopped and looked around and realized that every corner of every store and street had the holiday decorations up. What hours of the night do those poor employees work to take down all the Thanksgiving decorations to have the Holiday decorations up the next day? As I looked around all that hard work seemed to have been demolished in only an hour with the rampaging shoppers like myself. At this point I grabbed my friends and we went to the checkout.
At the checkout things got a little more interesting as the guy in front of us turned around to me and smiled and said "This is a little hectic in here. Want to grab a coffee?". I was taken aback for a moment and told him I'd go as long as my friends could tag along as well after all he is a complete stranger.
