| Advice for the lovelorn. (For confidentiality purposes, names in the following letters have been changed.) Q. Dear Rosie, I don’t know what’s wrong with me, maybe it is the approach that I take with women but I can’t seem to find a woman that really loves me. I try, I don't give up easily, and I have a heart, feelings and morals. Unlike most guys, I am real. I wish some girl would come to me and say I think your sweet, I’ll give it a go with you but it never happens. I always end up with women that take advantage of my feelings for them. I just want to have someone in love with me…really in love with me. What am I doing wrong here? I just really want to be happy in my life and I know that the lack of love from someone else is really starting to affect me. What should I do? Thanks, Wanting To Be Loved A. Dear Wanting To Be Loved, The only person that will be with you your entire life and for always is yourself. You need to count on yourself to love yourself first. When you start to rely on others to continually make you happy you end up sad, depressed and most often times lonely. People are not attracted to someone who feels sorry for themselves. You need to take your life by the horns and make yourself happy! First of all you need to appreciate yourself. If you are not happy in the life that you have than make the changes to make that happen. Life does not come to you it happens everyday and every moment that we breathe and you can either let life run you or run your own life. Start with taking a break from dating. That may be difficult and even scary at first but you need time to evaluate what it is that you really are looking for in a woman and relationship rather than going from relationship to relationship to not be alone. Once you are happy in your life and truly love yourself you will attract an entire different kind of woman. Confidence and self love shine through in a person. If you find that you are still depressed I would suggest that you seek counseling with your doctor. Good Luck and Keep Me Posted!
