| Q. Dear Love Vixen, After three years my computer friend told me he was moving and was going to be very busy, settling his mothers estate, [she had just passed away], he will get in touch with me when the time was right, not to contact him in any way. It has been one year, I do see his name come up on my buddy list, but I have never got in touch with him. I cannot seem to get him off of my mind. I know he perhaps is not worth it; why do I have feelings for him, I am a senior citizen, life is passing me by, please help me decide. Thank You Lonesome A. Dear Lonesome, Do not let life pass you by! A friendship of 3 years is something that you should work towards rekindling. It may be awkward at first and you will probably be nervous once you actually reach out and attempt to contact your friend but it will be worth it in the end. True friendship allows for time apart without any hard feelings on either side. Tell your friend that you haven't been able to get him off of your mind and that you want to talk when he is available. This will allow you to either continue a friendship or gain closure if the friendship does not continue. If you feel that your life is passing you by then find ways in your life to not let that happen. Continue your computer friendships and seek out new ones…do not restrict yourself from becoming friends with those who are not lucky enough to be seniors yet. Do not dwell on the fact that you are a senior citizen at this point in your life and you will find that life will not pass you by. Good luck and keep me posted as to what happens!
