| Holiday Date Ideas With the Holiday season there are many different activities that you can do on a date that you normally wouldn't have the chance to do during the rest of the year. Here is a great list of some fun and inexpensive activities to do on a date! Light Shows: Many cities have amazing displays of lights set up for the holiday season. Dress warmly, grab some hot chocolate or coffee and take a walk through town to look at all the great light displays. If your hometown doesn't partake in this then get in the car and drive around town to look at the lights on people's houses. This is a great opportunity to talk and get to know one another better! Sledding/Skating: When people are put together in a situation where you don't have to worry about your appearance or your clothes you tend to relax. Even if you can't skate you will definitely bond with someone who you fall down with or better yet the ones who catch you when you fall. So grab your skates or sled head to the park and spend a few hours being a carefree kid. Afterwards you can warm up at a pub or by the fire with some great warm drinks. Cozy Up: Nothing is more romantic then sipping eggnog by a fireplace. Make it a special night and serve up fondue where you can talk and eat without your food getting cold. Don't have a fireplace? Check out your local department store for DVD's and videos of just that. It's perfect for warmer climates. It will be just as romantic and definitely score you some extra points for the effort. Window Shop: The malls are packed and busy but this is the perfect place to take a walk and keep warm. Leave the car at home and take the train or bus to your local mall and check out all the great things stores have to offer and the beautiful window displays this time of year. Got kids? Bring them along there is normally a Santa waiting to hear their wish at the mall. During the Holiday season most malls offer daycare for free or at a minimal cost. Snowmen/Snow Angel: Take yourself back to when you were a kid and grab a carrot and an old scarf and head to the yard or your local park and make a snowman and snow angels. If you live where it's warm and sunny head to the beach and make your snowman there! Rosie, The Love Vixen |
