Dating Survival Guide
Dating Survival Guide |
| Dating Survival Guide Everywhere you turn there seems to be a how to guide for every facet of dating. From love to fighting fairly to pickup lines - there are books, guides, videos and seminars. For centuries we have dated without these 'guides' to help us on the way to read each other and often times complicate relationships even further. So, why do we need them now? Because there are so many conflicting guides I want to set the record straight! There are really only a few key points you need to remember in all Dating Survival Guides: Be Yourself: Be who you are because when you try to be something or someone you're not it only ends up biting you in the face. Do What Feels Right: Don't feel pressured to go on dates with someone you're not sure of yet. If you feel an attraction to someone else than go out on dates but if you don't have any interest in dating someone let them know. Have Fun: Even if your date turns out to be the worst date you've ever had, just remember that at least you'll have a great story to tell your friends about. Safety: Your personal safety is the most important thing to remember at anytime especially on a date. If your gut is telling you there is something wrong - trust it and get out of there. Always have enough money to get yourself home from a date. Be Happy: Don't dwell on your last bad relationship and certainly don't talk about it on your first few dates otherwise you may end up scaring that person away. Emotional baggage can be a little scary to see on the first date or two! Rosie, The Love Vixen |
