How to Plan a Group Date

Dec-29-2005 How to Plan your iMatchup group date: 1) Once you have decided to plan an event the first step is to invite other members. The best way to do this is to use the "Search in My Local Area" feature. To access this simply login to your account, select Search and select the age range that you would like to invite. Don't forget to search for members of the opposite sex as well as the same sex. As much fun as it is for you to be the only man or woman in a room full of single prospective matches it's not as fun for the rest. 2) Once you have your search results send out an invitation that you are planning a group date and would like that person to come. Even something as simple as "I'm having a group date at Big Ed's Bowling Hall in two weeks. Would you like to come? You can also invite other members through the chat room. 3) Don't go crazy and send out messages to everyone in your area the first day. Send out your messages in groups of 10 daily over 1 to 2 weeks so that it gives everyone a chance to reply to you and an easy way for you to control how many people to invite. 4) Be optimistic and realistic at the same time. If you have 50 confirmations hopefully they will all attend but sometimes other commitments or even shyness come up when the big night arrives. So don't be disappointed if only a handful other members you have invited attend. This just gives you more time to get to know one another better! 5) You can make things easy once you have all gathered together by making nametags with your iMatchup username and real name underneath. The best part is instead of worrying about giving out your phone number just give out your iMatchup username so you can continue talking on iMatchup afterwards until you feel comfortable enough to give out your phone number. Once you are all together you can play icebreaker games or just talk to get to know one another. Stumped for a topic? Go around the table and tell how each of you chose your username…it will all fall into place. Rosie, The Love Vixen |
